I had been wanting this collection of cookbooks for such a long time having enjoyed Chez Panisse. And who doesn't consider Alice Waters one of their cooking gods?

Nonetheless, a year ago I was finally gifted "The Art of Simple Food" by one of the most inspiring souls I know, my friend Ida, and lets just say that it changed my ideals of cooking forever. These two books are still the cookbooks that I refer to most frequently in my kitchen and I have a feeling that they always will be. If you haven't done yourself the favor already, please add both to your collection. You'll never look back.
