Activated Charcoal

Activated charcoal has been documented since 1550 BC as a treatment in medicine. Taken internally, it serves an umbrella of benefits. One teaspoon of activated charcoal has the surface area of around ten thousand sq ft. It binds to poisons, heavy metals, chemicals and eliminates them from the body. It is especially useful in absorbing pharmaceutical drugs, opium, cocaine, morphine, pesticides, chemicals, mercury and even lead. Many people turn to AC when they have the flu as it provides a quicker recovery, for it prevents the viruses or bacteria from remaining active in the body by absorbing a great deal of their toxins and preventing it from spreading.

Topically it is also used to naturally whiten, absorb the poison of bug and spider bites and to treat bruises. I personally use it as a detoxifier when I feel I have a toxic overload in my body. Or when I’m on a cleanse. In capsule form, I really love Intestinal Drawing Formula. And in loose form, I’m a fan of Prescribed For Life.

NOTE | take in-between meals, with water, and three hours before or after vitamins as the charcoal may neutralize your body from absorbing vitamins.
