The Everything Tonic

I should really rename this journal to The Cacao Chronicles as I post so many chocolate-centric smoothies and tonic recipes. I’m a chocolate fiend and if I don’t find a nutritious way to channel that energy then straight to a king-sized-chocolate-bar-eating-in-one sitting I go.

Anyway on weeks like this one (so far), I can truly understand why some people need coffee. Though I’ve never taken to the taste, I can connect with needing support and stamina. At such times, my go-to beverage is what I’ve coined as “The Everything Tonic.” Why? Simply because I feel like I throw a little bit of everything in it to give me superpowers and cover all my bases. 



1 ½ c sprouted nut milk

1 heaping tbls of cacao

¼ tsp ashwagandha

¼ tsp chaga

¼ tsp rhodiola

¼ tsp reishi

1 tbls coconut oil

1 tbls tocos

1 tbls raw local honey

1 tbls chia

½ frozen banana

pinch of Pink Salt

PROCESS | combined all ingredients in a blender and blend on high for 1 minute
