Introducing April • CLEARING
As we move into spring, we transcend into a time of cleansing and clearing winter's stagnant energy, and the heaviness of GROWTH we journeyed through last month. Clearing can take place in nearly any aspect of life: physical cleansing of the body, energy clearing, toxic clearing, closet clearing, clearing out negative influences or people....really the list can go as deep as you may need. We decided to focus on the elements: water, salt, fire, minerals, and smoke, for they are the strongest clearing agents available to us, the oldest, and the most naturally abundant.
WATER • Water has obvious clearing duties, such as using to wash or clean, but there is also evidence that water is capable of carrying emotional energies within it. We are made up of mostly water. Clearing out stale, repressed emotions can aid in clearing out the energies the water within us has absorbed.
SALT • Salt is a versatile clearing agent - for both physical, energetic and special clearing. Reiki healing uses salt to cleanse auras. Mineral salt baths are used to detoxify the body. Salt crystals can be placed around your home to clear out bad energy.
FIRE • To cleanse your aura. A Buddhist practice of cleansing with fire is to light an organic substance, such as straw or wood, and face the fire with your hands spread open for 3 minutes and then turn to face your spine to the fire for 3 minutes.
MINERALS • Crystals can channel, redirect and cleanse energies of an individual or a place. They can be very instrumental during periods of clearing.
SMOKE • Smoke is a potent clearing element and has been used for ages to cleanse spirits, energies, and spaces.
These elements are wildly helpful as we move into our theme of clearing in April. After all the growth last month, you may be in need of emotional clearing, which can take time to work through. The deepest emotional clearing that needs to take place for us to fully cleanse requires healing and moving through the blocks built up throughout the years that are weighin us down and keeping us stuck.

For those of you who read the March Secret Society book of the month, it was your perfect resource for this month of clearing ahead. Letting Go by Dr. David R. Hawkins offers many valuable lessons and techniques to move you through emotional clearing. He discusses the damaging effects of repressed emotions, how they can bury themselves into our shadow and hinder our potential to become our truest most authentic selves. This book is a great companion to UNBLOCKED Reparent for Letting Go allows you to move the energy out while identifying what you are even feeling in the first place, why, and how it can transcend.

This book awoke me to the truth that emotions are not reality. We may feel fearful of doing something, or anxious about a new opportunity, but those are simply a manifestation of our thoughts or beliefs. Our emotions can dictate how we perceive our reality, but we are fully capable of controlling and changing our emotions. Thus, we are fully capable of controlling and changing our emotions. Mind blown!
FEELINGS & STRESS • "The more fear we have on the inside, the more our perception of the world is changed to a fearful, guarded expectancy. To the angry person, this world is a chaos of frustration and vexation. To the guilty person, it is a world of temptation and sin, which they see everywhere. What we are holding inside colors our world."
FEAR • "As we become more familiar with letting go, it will be noticed that all negative feelings are associated with our basic fear related to survival and that all feelings are merely survival programs that the mind believes are necessary."
SHADOW • "The shadow is the repressed thoughts, feelings and concepts about ourselves that we do not want to face. One benefit of a crisis is that it often brings us into familiarity with our shadow. it makes us more human and more whole to realize what we share with all of humanity."
SCALE OF EMOTIONS • "Behind all of the 'I cants' are merely 'I wonts.' The 'I wonts' mean 'I am afraid to' or 'I am ashamed to' or 'I have too much pride to try, for fear I might fail.'"
OPINIONS • "When we look at our opinions, we will see that is is primarily our emotions that are giving them any value in the first place. Instead of feeling pride about our thoughts, what is wrong with jut loving them? Why not just love a certain concept because of its beauty, because of its inspirational quality, or because of its serviceability? If we view our thoughts this way, we no longer need the pride of being 'right.'"
