I Manifested A Free Brand New Nikon Camera
I've manifested a FREE brand new Nikon camera (worth $500).
I've been picking back up with my photography account, and it's something I've adored but stopped 1000 times. This past year, I've realized it's something that lights me up, I'm super passionate about, and I want to take it seriously and explore photography properly with a real camera (I've used my camera on my phone for years). I inquired about a few, but they were all way more than I wanted to spend right now, and I figured I would just hold off since we're in lockdown right now anyway.
I was just speaking with a friend who I've worked with and provided some pro bono services for (copywriting, branding, reviewing, and helping to create content). They've been tremendously grateful for my help but never had the income to pay me just yet as they're a small and relatively new company, so I always helped them because I knew their position and their intentions. Somehow, we started talking about what we've been focusing on lately while on lockdown, and I mentioned I've been taking some photography workshops and enhancing my digital skills while I can. He's familiar with my Instagram account and asked if I had purchased my own camera yet (which I haven't) and said he has a brand new camera he bought a few months back because he thought he wanted to explore photography and realized he didn't love it.
Basically, he's giving this to me for free and to "thank me" for everything that I've done for him and company and that it's the "least he could do". It's brand new and with the box. Then he asked me for my salary requirements to manage their social media and content streams. He really wants to work together, moving forward, and see if he can find a way to establish room in their budget once things start picking up with the business again.
