I had blocks around finance and work-life balance. I used to work in hospitality management, so my idea of work felt like slogging it, draining my energy and working ridiculously long hours, and having no life. These were all limiting beliefs blocking me from manifesting a full-time position.
What expanders did you find?
I found expanders on social media, particularly podcasts. I found the yoga studio that I go to to be filled with inspirational young women in business and started spending more time there chatting after class. One of my favorite yoga teachers turned out to have worked for the same company for five years!!! When I told her I was going for an interview, she said to me with really exciting energy, "OMGOSH you will be amazing! I can so see you there! Congrats!" This was so mind-blowingly expansive for me!
What tests did you face? Which did you pass? Not pass?
When I got the call that I had been offered the position that I was manifesting, we began to talk salary. The first figure they told me was soo low... I felt utterly disappointed, and a little bit sick at the thought of negotiating. I knew the second this came up that it was a test. I told her that I would have to think about it and call her back. Just for some background, I applied for a front line position as well as a management position.
At the time that I was applying, I was thinking that getting the management position was such a long shot. So when I was thinking about my salary, I wrote a figure down that was what I wanted if I got the front line position. The first figure that she offered me was EXACTLY what I wrote down. When I saw this my jaw literally dropped. My self-worth had grown so during this process of manifesting the job, so in between our calls, I went through unblocked no and unblocked money.
I asked for a figure that was 10K higher than what she had offered me; I explained to her that when I take something on I generally pour a lot of energy into my role and my team and in order for me to feel comfortable to do that I needed to feel valued and that my input was matching my output. She went away and talked with her manager and came back to me a few days later with YES!!! When I started the job and went through my training I was also informed that there is a bonus program within the company for the management team. In six months, I had manifested an additional 5K in bonuses on top of my thriving salary!!!
Did you experience a magic dark period? If so, tell us about it.
Earlier that year, I went on a trip to South America, which drained me financially. I got a nannying job for three months that I was earning $500 a week from. I felt really stuck and lost in the process of making a decision about what I wanted to do, which was very unlike me and my character. It was winter and unusually rainy and dark which I think made me feel worse. I dug in deep and threw myself into this work and a lot of self-care. I was taking a bath every day, reading a lot of personal development, and about a month later, this job came through.
How did your manifestation come through?
I had already applied to work for this company a year before. I went for an interview and was left hanging with no response until I called them and was told I would not be offered a position. After starting Lacy's work, I was having pings and kept having dreams about me working in this role. I applied online and was contacted a few days later to attend an interview.
