The Perfect Tiny House & A Lots of Travel
Are you currently a Pathway Member?: Yes
What was on your manifestation list?: Two major things I have been calling in recently: A cozy home with wooden (or wood-like) floors, updated look, outdoor space, washer and dryer in unit, and near a nature trail with a max budget of $1,100 a month ( and a very low asking price for near Orlando, Florida where I live). Travel, 3x per year, or more.
What workshops did you use and what blocks did you discover during the DIs & workshops?: I used Unblocked Inner child, Unblocked No, and Uplevel. I also have started going to EMDR therapy to reprogram some of the tough stuff that's come up that felt overwhelming to deal with on my own. I discovered I had a block that I couldn't find a place on my own in the area I live in unless it was a low-income type apartment in a less than ideal part of town. My next block around housing was my boyfriend's credit situation, which had gotten us rejected from one apartment already, so I felt I'd need to lie and say I was the only one on the application in the future.
Next, I felt unsafe traveling on my own outside of the country due to the beliefs of my mom and grandpa, who watch way too much of the news.
What expanders did you find?: My housing expanders were tiny house YouTubers and friends who rent from individuals rather than companies or realtors with rigorous credit standards. Also, friends that rented from individuals who themselves had varying degrees of credit standing and even freelance type jobs. My travel expanders have been solo female travel bloggers and YouTubers.
What tests did you face? Which did you pass? Not pass?: Tests I've faced have been finding homes for rent within our budget but in terrible neighborhoods. We quickly said no to most of these, but I had an experience with the realtor renting out a really terrible duplex where he basically told me since I had no rental history, I was a joke to him. That hurt my confidence, of course. After this, we decided to stick with apartments, and we applied at one with a nature trail, and all the things on the list, except it wasn't in the best area and the nature trail had a lot of criminal activity reported on it, and therefore, wasn't really safe.
We were rejected due to my boyfriend's credit. After this, we went and lived with my parents for one year; we repaired my boyfriend's credit almost completely beside a defaulted student loan that is still in rehabilitation. At this time, I thought I could apply for a home loan and invest my money instead of spending it on rent. I almost closed but realized I was over budget, and it wasn't the best idea for me now since I'm young and want to travel as well. Finally, me and my mom drove by six tiny(ish) houses being built two minutes from where we live now and called right away to submit our applications.
I had a final test where I almost didn't put my boyfriend on the application in fear he would reject us, but instead, I was upfront about his credit and how we were actively working to fix it. He accepted us with little mind on the credit and mostly focused on the fact of our career longevity of 2+ years each and income.
Did you experience a magic dark period? If so, tell us about it.: There were many magic dark periods, and ruts even throughout this. During the rejection of our apartment application, I fell into a deep rut as well as during the process of looking for land for our modular home to be built on and going through the intense loan process. Finally, magic dark came when we submitted our application for the tiny(ish) home, and I kept occasionally and professionally emailing the landlord to make sure he knew we were serious and to stick out amongst the other people who applied.
How did your manifestation come through?: Simply put, it came through because I had released the idea of needing things a certain specific way and that I knew I'd be happy and have what I wanted. It came through because I was upfront about who my boyfriend and I were, regardless of past mistakes. When it did, we experienced even more synchronicity because the landlord happened to have just won a trip to Ireland, which is where my boyfriend and I were headed literally right after we moved in. Two people also came to me and said, "they saw my house on the news!" Since I don't watch the news, I had to look it up on YouTube to see just how rare this find was because they interviewed the landlord who just built the properties with the intention of serving a "middle market." So so serendipitous. Along with Ireland, I've booked two more trips (solo travel) to Paris and Budapest for the year and plan on two more undecided trips as well! Just doing the damn thing.
