My Expanding Engagement Ring Story
I wanted to share a story about manifesting my engagement ring because it is pretty expansive for me. So my partner proposed to me on Kauai kind of in the moment so he didn’t have a ring picked out. His mom gave him a ring to propose with and he said that I could pick out any ring I want for my forever ring. (So sweet, right!?) I’ve known what I wanted for a long time, a vintage pink sapphire or pink tourmaline in gold with some diamonds.
I was searching on brilliant earth for a long time but anything I loved was over $2,000. I thought I’d have to get it from them because I wanted a vintage ring that was certified so I knew the stones were legit. The one I wanted was $3,000. I thought, I could just get a cheaper option but that didn’t feel in my worth at all. I know for some, $3,000 isn’t a lot for an engagement ring but we have a mortgage and we’re having a baby this winter so I just can’t justify it nor do I want him to spend that much.
Anyway, after weeks of trying to figure out what to get, I was looking on Etsy and found literally the perfect ring. Vintage, aa grade pink tourmaline, GIA certified with diamonds in gold. It was on sale for $700. Crazy right!? It was so easy, so accessible and it came through because I stayed in my worth about what I wanted and how much I was willing to spend.
