Manifesting Rapid Fire
LONG POST but super expanding !!! I feel like I've had so much happening; lately, I don't know where to begin. Most of my manifestations are on hold now, but before the breakout of the Corona Virus, I was on manifesting rapid fire. I'm a surf/ ocean photographer specializing in Female longboarding. I couldn't sleep one night due to external circumstances, so I jumped on my Instagram. I saw that one of my peers had photographed a female surf swimwear brand I had at the top of my list and was working towards (starting with small brands first). I messaged her straight away and asked her if she had shot for them? She said yes and that they wanted to continue working with her. I immediately thought if she can shoot for them, so can I! She lives in Australia, I live in Mexico, and they're a US-based company.
I had a mutual connection with someone who I got in contact with straightaway. She emailed the brand and connected us all the next day. They got back to me, told me they loved my work, and asked for my availability. Turns out they were flying to Mexico the next week to my town for four days!!!! No joke!!! They had already organized a photographer but still wanted to shoot separately. I met the client, she gave me the swimwear suits to shoot at a later date, and we just surfed together and hung out.
After this, I decided to go straight to my dream clients instead of working my up! So in that same week, I messaged another brand through Instagram to get an email address to send my pitch to, and they replied, saying they loved my work and wanted to shoot together and to send them an email. A few days after this, I replied to an email from another surf swimwear brand, again on the top of my list, which I'm an ambassador for. It has nothing to do with working together, just a general check-in email, and she replied asking me to shoot for her too. So in one week, I had landed 3 of my favourite brands! And I hardly had to do anything! All the shoots have been put on hold due to the current situation, but I know as soon as this settles down, I have a strong feeling I'm going to be hitting the ground running.
I'm also preparing just to aim high now, go straight to exactly who I want to shoot for and the magazines I want to be published in! *On a side note, I feel extremely uncomfortable with following up on leads during this time as a lot of businesses are under pressure, including myself. I guess one of my blocks is feeling like I'm being pushy and also thinking that deals won't be sealed. I've already started to do some work on this.
