Creating My Dream Job

What was on your manifestation list?: A career that makes me happy.
What workshops did you use and what blocks did you discover during the DIs & workshops?: Unblocked Inner Child, Unblocked Shadow, Authentic Self.
What expanders did you find?: I found lots of women expanders, as well as a few men. A dear friend of mine is a huge expander, as well as my business partner. Other expanders include a few women who inspire me career-wise, aesthetically, and overall how they carry themselves with confidence, even when fearful.
What tests did you face? Which did you pass? Not pass?: Lots of job opportunities that felt like they were right, but my gut ended up saying no. I even took a few jobs and quite a few days in. I even took a Master's class thinking I would go back to school (and still might, just not right now!). But ultimately, I found that I loved creating my own business. As soon as I stopped searching for what I thought I wanted, I realized it was literally right in front of me.
Did you experience a magic dark period? If so, tell us about it.: I actually still feel like I may be in a magic dark just with low-self esteem, even with the manifested career! I think this shows that you can have overlap in this process. It's a very strange thing for me to be doing something every day that makes ME happy and not working to please everyone else. I am definitely still working on it!
How did your manifestation come through?: I finally realized that I was looking for a job to check all of the boxes: community, interior design, my organization skills, a minimal aesthetic, cool people. It wasn't until I got off of the phone with someone (a random wholesale representative for a tea company for my new manifested business) when I asked him about jobs. I told him all of the above of what I would want in a job, and it took a complete stranger to tell me: Bethany, you're creating that job. Right now. It took me aback. I am opening a business, and I am making it exactly what I want. I truly did manifest it, as it fell right into my lap after I graduated.

What is your cultural upbringing and background?: I am an Asian American brought up in a Christian Southern Household in Arkansas. I no longer define myself with a particular religion and feel better than ever.
