Refusing To Settle Led Me To A House Near the Beach
Name: Noel Kepler
Where do you reside?: Currently splitting time between NYC and Naples, FL (a setup I manifested)
What is your cultural upbringing and background?: Blue-collar, conservative family in the Bay Area of California
Are you currently a Pathway Member?: Yes
What was on your manifestation list?: I was in the process of manifesting a life transition, literally everything. I was moving from NY to FL, transitioning my job situation, facing down some financial concerns. The one thing not on my manifestation list that I needed and ended up manifesting was a MeetUp group for Wise Members! I was looking for a network of TBM folks that I could connect with and get deeper into the work with. Even though it wasn't on my list, I manifested that too!
What workshops did you use and what blocks did you discover during the DIs & workshops?: I had already completed Unblocked Shadow and Unblocked Inner Child and all the foundational work and was working through Unblocked Money, which I've now done twice. I knew my TBM practice was solid, but it was feeling very "solo" in that I didn't have a group of folks to really dive deep into the different workshops and talk about ideas for making the work my own. I really needed a group of peers to speak with. I attended several Meetup groups but found that the other people were often much younger than me. While I enjoyed all of them, I really needed people in my age group that could understand where I was with my career, with my 22-year-old daughter, my 56-year-old boyfriend, etc. I went to several Meet Ups and am still connected with a few people I met there before starting my own Meetup group for Wise Members. I credit that group with keeping me focused and keeping me going through some of the tougher periods.
What expanders did you find?: I had a good group of expanders that I had built up around the transition I was working on, but for some reason, the support group specifically for the TBM work that I was hoping for had really evaded me. I'm not sure if I had a "support group" expander, but after posting several times in the Pathway Community looking for a Wise Member Meet-Up, Atarah Valentine replied to one of my posts saying, "start your own." I actually facilitate groups for a living, so you would think that would have been a no-brainer, but at that moment, thanks to Atarah's nudging, I became my own expander. I posted a doodle poll to choose a day, and several people filled it out. We held our first Zoom meeting a week later.
What tests did you face? Which did you pass? Not pass?: For my transition, I have faced so many tests - work is the most obvious. After a meeting with Amanda Blair earlier this year, she really gave me the confidence I needed to make the transition happen. I've been snuggling with a toxic but well-paying job. It was easier to do the work remotely, which, thanks to the pandemic, was now my permanent reality, and I have known my boss for several years over two different jobs and really like her. But the overall environment gets so toxic, and it can really wear me down. I have had a solid side hustle doing communications training, workshops, and keynotes for the last 10 years and had just incorporated it at the end of 2019. At the beginning of COVID, everything was canceled, but I didn't have to worry about it because I had my "day job."
Amanda told me to get a bridge job if I didn't feel I could financially leave my full-time job. SO I was working in that direction when a few things changed. I filed my taxes and realized I was making more money than I learned in spite of COVID. Then, thanks to the support network I had started through TBM, someone gave me the idea of flipping the switch - treating my Full-Time day job as my side gig and my Side Hustle as my Full Time day job. When I started thinking about it like that, I picked up three more clients. I didn't even change my work schedule.
I just started thinking about it differently. I found the courage to speak with my boss about the toxic areas of my job, and she made changes that started eliminating my engagement in those areas. And within just a few weeks, I felt like the only work I was doing was work I felt good about. Then everything fell into place!
Did you experience a magic dark period? If so, tell us about it.: There were several periods where things stopped coming in over the last ten months, but it was really a great opportunity to evaluate where I was. Manifesting the transition was really manifesting a lot of smaller but important items around my career, income, living situation, partnership. I don't think I realized a "magic dark" ; rather, I saw the ebbs and flows as a chance to take action or take a breath.
How did your manifestation come through?: Once I got my work situation into a positive flow, the move to Florida came through so fast. My partner and I went down to stay with some friends while he managed his own work situation, and while we were down there, we started looking for a house to rent. We had a few places lined up to look at, but none of them were right. Some were downright gross. Then, after just a week, it seemed like every rental house on the market dried up. There was no availability.
We found a house that was not really what we wanted but close. It was clean and big enough, but really far out from where we wanted to be. We applied for it but later that evening, my partner, and I spoke, and we both agreed we did not want that house. The only reason we applied was that there was nothing else available. After deciding that was not a good reason to rent the house, we got a call from the management company that told us the house had already been rented to someone else, which was perfect. And for the next two weeks, we didn't see another house - there was just nothing available that met our needs.
Amanda had told me in a session earlier in the year, "you know what you want; just don't settle." And man did we not settle. We didn't look at a house after that first application if it did not check EVERY box. Two weeks later, we found a house that was EVERYTHING and only a 10-minute ride to the beach. We called the management company, and they said there were other applications in the house, but we applied anyway. The landlord chose us even though we were the last ones to apply and move on July 1st!
How long did it take for your manifestation to come through after crafting your initial list?: Instead of "listing" my transition manifestation, I have been journaling about it while listing the details (e.g., I listed things I wanted in the town we wanted to live in, I listed things we wanted in the house we were going to rent, etc.) From the beginning to now, it has been ten months. In that time, every component of the transition has come through - the job, the income, the town (Naples, FL BTW) and the house.
How frequently were you using the workshops and DI's when you noticed the biggest shift surrounding your manifestation?: Daily - I do some part of a program, daily practice, or DI every day

Is there anything else you think we should know? If you made this process your own in any way, this is the perfect spot to share that.: I said this in my audio link, but it is worth repeating here - more than any of the manifestations I have co-created in my life, the TBM work has empowered me to love myself, to respect myself, and to honor myself. Those things have made me a better mom, my daughter is 22, and our relationship is healthier than it has ever been. I have a true partnership with my boyfriend based on healthy boundaries and mutual respect. And I am more financially secure than I have ever been, and I have learned to appreciate my finances instead of dreading them, which is no small feat when you come from a blue-collar household. I am eternally grateful to TBM and the Wise Women in my support network. Thank you all so very much!
