What was on your manifestation list?: 

- a spot on a charity team for Boston Marathon 2022

- raise $10,000 for the charity team for Boston Marathon 2022

- vacation to Todos Santos, Mexico, Nantucket, and Dublin, Ireland

- a writing coach, someone to hold my hand through the emotional journey of editing my first novel

- a business coach, someone to guide me out of shift-based work and into copywriting solopreneurship

What workshops did you use and what blocks did you discover during the DIs & workshops?: I've done all the workshops except Rock Bottom. I use the Daily Reprogramming to continue Unblocked Inner Child and Unblocked Shadow work at least 3-4x a week.

A few blocks that I've discovered:

  • dumb blonde: growing up, I learned my value was measured by my appearance and performing manual labor tasks such as chores. I reprogrammed this to 'My critical thinking skills are more important than my appearance.'

  • unqualified: throughout my life, I've been hired for jobs that I am not qualified for. While I learn the skills required for the job, I make a lot of mistakes and rarely get it right the first time, which upsets my perfectionism and people-pleasing personality. It causes me to hide and make myself small until I feel 'qualified' for the position. My pattern is to learn the skills necessary for the job, hide behind my boss/coworkers, and then quit the job after two years when I realize I'm not 'good enough and don't feel fulfilled by the day-to-day tasks. Now that I've identified this shadow, I embrace that 'I don't know what I don't know, and I admire my value of curiosity which allows me to try new things every couple of years and integrate into new communities.

  • disposable: because of my 'unqualified shadow,' I often feel disposable in my work environments and in my relationships. My shadow tells me there is always someone more talented at the job, or there is always someone more attractive to my partner. I don't feel jealous. I feel disheartened and small that I am replaceable. During the Shadow workshop, a friend told me that sometimes I treat others like they are replaceable, which broke my heart but helped me realize this is how I project my shadow onto others. To heal this, I am diving deeper into relationships and being more vulnerable without assuming the coworker/friend/partner will replace me. I am practicing being seen by voicing this concern to my current co-workers, friends, and partner. I'm not fishing for compliments or a sense of security. I am outing my shadow when I feel discouraged, and I always feel lighter and more connected to my peers when this happens.

If you did work with a coach or a few, who did you work with, in what capacity (Q/A service or Session(s)) and how did that contribute to your manifestation process?: I submitted a question to the Q/A service after the Manifestation Challenge when I realized several items on my manifestation list had a due date or deadline. Although a few smaller manifestations had come through, I felt discouraged by how much work I needed to slog through before the deadlines (fundraising and training for the Boston Marathon + hours upon hours of editing and rewriting my book). Amanda Blair replied, which is so perfect because I've heard her say on Expanded and Supported that timelines are not our business. Timelines are the universe's business. She helped me understand the difference between a deadline I set for myself and a deadline set by others. 

Now, I see which deadlines hold me accountable to reach my goals and which deadlines are an attempt to control the uncontrollable. My Virgo moon loves accountability! One form of accountability that I've integrated into my daily life is using the Unblocked Flower Remedy. I get really scared to ask for what I want, so when I asked my husband to buy me Unblocked Flower Remedy for my birthday, I think I created situational magnetism. Now, my bottle of the remedy sits on my living room altar, and it symbolizes my commitment to healing my shadow and passing tests to get closer to my most magnetic life.

What expanders did you find?: 

  • Meagan Murtagh: my dear friend who introduced me to TBM, has fundraised $10,000 to run the Chicago Marathon and uses her unique voice on her social media and blog

  • Jessica Gill: followed a ping to teach herself the skills she needed for the job she wanted

  • Lisa Cron: my writing coach (that I manifested during the December challenge) who has published three books and created her own coaching business

  • Sheri Colosimo: my business coach (whom I manifested during the December challenge + took me to Todos Santos on a yoga retreat) created her own business coaching program that amplifies solopreneurs' voices

  • Elin Hilderbrand: an author, mother, sister, and friend who is also a Cancer. I admire her confidence, vulnerability plus she spends the winter in warm beachy places

What tests did you face? Which did you pass? Not pass?: I have faced SO many tests, from losing my wallet to getting sick and having to cancel three trips. The greatest test I passed turned out to be a dangling carrot. At my bridge job, which is a part-time gig, my boss asked me to go full-time several times, and although it was enticing and could be a great fit, it doesn't allow me to travel or work remotely, which are elements of my most magnetic job. She dangled the benefits she had to offer in front of me day after day. Because the part-time position was transitioning to full-time and requires a specific personality type, she asked me to participate in writing the new job description and to sit in on the job interviews. Two days in a row, after participating in the interviews, I went home and cried about having made a big mistake by not taking the full-time promotion. After that second interview, I got on a plane to visit friends in LA and remembered why I wasn't accepting the full-time position - so I could take or create a job that allows me to travel and work remotely.

Did you experience a magic dark period? If so, tell us about it.: Yes, I feel like I am in one right now, especially with my manifestation list, including so many things that require a lot of busy work and summer deadlines.

How did your manifestation come through?: - I was accepted onto a charity team for the Boston Marathon 2022 and exceeded my donation goal. I raised $13,000!

- I ran the Boston Marathon and had the most wonderful experience; great weather made some new friends, and smooth travel to and from New England.

- A spot opened up at the last minute on a dreamy yoga retreat to Todos Santos with my business coach. I was able to make it work with both finances and work and had such a grounding experience.

- After the Boston Marathon, my husband and I found a great deal at a hotel for two nights on Nantucket to celebrate my accomplishment.

- My dear friend/expander announced she is getting married in Dublin in the fall, so I used points to book flights and hotels.

- After the magnetism challenge, the writing coach and business coach I wanted to work with emailed me back that they had spots open to coach me.

How long did it take for your manifestation to come through after crafting your initial list?: About four months. This is the list I crafted in December during the challenge :)

How frequently were you using the workshops and DI's when you noticed the biggest shift surrounding your manifestation?: 3-4x a week + listening to Expanded and Supported

How do you incorporate this work into your life on a daily basis? Any tips, tricks or recommendations for getting the most out of it, or personalizing it?: 4 mornings a week, I make sure to give myself 30 - 40 minutes for To Be Magnetic work. Because I tend to fall asleep if I am lying down, I've learned it's best for me to pair a DI with gentle yoga and light stretching. I put in my AirPods, close my eyes and move my body in whatever way feels good while listening. It's really important that I do DI's with headphones for the EMDR binaural beats experience.
