Saying No To A Shiny Carrot & A Home That Is Everything I Wanted
Name: Ashley Green
Are you currently a Pathway Member?: No
What was on your manifestation list?: A few summers ago, my family and I were looking for a house to either buy or rent. We were currently living in an apartment with loud upstairs neighbors and were desperate to move out quickly as our lease was ending. I'm a specific manifestor, and my list included:
a private tree-lined backyard
finished basement, safe neighborhood
large windows
$1,250 rent (which was only $50 more than what we were paying for our apartment) and is located on a quiet road but has close highway access.
What workshops did you use, and what blocks did you discover during the DIs & workshops?: At the time, I had only recently found Lacy's work, so I read all the blog posts I could get my hands and listened to every podcast.
What expanders did you find?: What tests did you face? Which did you pass? Not pass?: We looked at a house that was perfectly renovated only to find out it was previously owned by a meth dealer... womp womp. We considered settling because it was almost everything on the list, but it had a 40-minute commute, and safety was a concern.
Did you experience a magic dark period? If so, tell us about it.: Even with a realtor sending us houses left and right to look at online, everything in our budget was either gone before we had a chance to put in an offer or didn't feel "right."
How did your manifestation come through?: A few days after we passed the test of the meth dealer house, my mom called about one for rent that recently came back on the market. Come to find out; we had mutual friends with the landlord! The house had everything I asked for. It sits on a cul de sac, which means no extra traffic, and the backyard is green and lush. It's a five-minute drive to the highway that shoots me straight to work. On top of all that, they had just lowered the price to EXACTLY what I had on my list. All three of us knew INSTANTLY when we walked in; it was the one and signed papers that day. It feels like home.
