Financial Stability, A Move To Maui, & Fresh Perspective In My Relationship
Name: Margeaux Spain
Where do you reside?: Maui (for now)
What is your cultural upbringing and background?: Middle-class midwestern family.
Are you currently a Pathway Member?: Yes
What was on your manifestation list?:
-A beautiful apartment or home on the north shore of Maui. I made a very specific list for the home we were calling in, down to the type of flooring and kitchen appliances. I even drew a picture of it which came back to FLOOR me.
-15K.
-A new car less than five years old.
-A career where I made at least 60K.
-More experiences with my loved ones.
-A marriage that gets deeper, sexier, more fun, more intimate.
What workshops did you use and what blocks did you discover during the DIs & workshops?: My husband and I started the workshops together in early 2020. For starters, Lacy's style was so new to us in the most refreshing way. We were so used to dogmatic teachings that felt restricting. Just discovering the work felt like we were free. We started with How to Manifest, then Unblocked Money as both of us were living in his parent's basement and felt trapped in a cycle of low-paying jobs and low self-worth.
Then we moved into Unblock Inner Child and Unblocked Shadow. Gosh, we did all of them! We were so excited to re-write the stories we had written for ourselves. On my end, I encountered a lot of blocks around having dropped out of college years ago in my senior year. I just thought I didn't deserve a successful life because I didn't like school and had really always struggled in strict environments.
What expanders did you find?: This was the hardest part for me, so I asked for an expander, and she walked right into my life. At the time, I worked at a healthcare center, and a patient came in, and we got to talking. It was the feeling of her that I connected to most, her essence and energy. She was from Italy, moved far from family, and taught yoga, but none of that mattered. It was really just that she was so joyful, relatable, and genuinely happy from what I could see. The craziest part was that when I manifested the move to Maui, she started crying. She got her yoga teaching certification right down the street from my soon-to-be address.
What tests did you face? Which did you pass? Not pass?: By far, the biggest test was that we arrived on Maui the day the pandemic was declared, and a few days later, our neighbor threatened to sue us! Our dog chased her cat, and her cat injured itself running from our dog. Unfortunately, when she requested the Money, I was so upset and afraid of losing our nest egg that I fought back. I would hide in my room at night, afraid of her knocking on our door, which she occasionally did. I was so afraid that it meant I didn't deserve to be here. I eventually passed the test after weeks of back and forth.
I then faced five months of unemployment, and my husband three. Because we chose to quit our jobs before the pandemic, we didn't qualify for federal assistance. It was rough, to say the least! Thank god we had savings! I passed tests by rejecting jobs that didn't feel right. It was hard to convince myself that I wasn't irresponsible, but I'm so glad I passed those because it eventually led to jobs I couldn't have even imagined for myself!
Did you experience a magic dark period? If so, tell us about it.: The magic dark was our major unemployment period for those 3-5 months. We had manifested the home, but the jobs felt like huge manifestations that we would eventually need to stay here. We had to take really good care of ourselves. Baths. Gentle nourishment. Long, long walks in nature. Books. Flowers.
How did your manifestation come through?: It was KISMET (as Lacy would say). My husband was working at a client's house, and they told him they needed a private chef. He said, "My wife is a private chef!" It only got better from there. I started cooking for this family, then got the opportunity through them to cater a two-week quarantined retreat for one of the art world's most famous emerging artists! And you guessed it, to the tune of 15 grand!! I got more work with this client, made my desired yearly salary, and then some.
Then came the new Subaru and tickets home to see the fam, and the lack of financial stress transformed our marriage, among other things. I manifested everything on my list, but honestly, I've learned so much about myself this last year, and my dreams have changed. Really honing in on my authentic code has allowed me to really see myself, which I think is the biggest manifestation of all. I'm glad I did the "island goddess" dream, but I know myself a lot better now. My dream life has to do with so much more than where I live and how it looks on Instagram.
How long did it take for your manifestation to come through after crafting your initial list?: Literally two days for the move to Maui. The career and desired salary took five months.
How frequently were you using the workshops and DI's when you noticed the biggest shift surrounding your manifestation?: We were Lacy addicts. We buckled down and did them every day.
How do you incorporate this work into your life on a daily basis? Any tips, tricks or recommendations for getting the most out of it, or personalizing it?: I love doing DI's at home, but I didn't always have the time, so sometimes I would listen to them in my headset while I cooked for my clients. Also, at this point, there is so much content that you can listen to something different every day, whether it's a DI, a supported episode, or an expanded episode. Yes, it's all similar information, but the different "packaging" can help unblock in surprising ways. By far, my biggest tip is to stick with it for more than one year. It's incredible to truly get to know yourself and revisit workshops as you evolve.

Is there anything else you think we should know? If you made this process your own in any way, this is the perfect spot to share that: You all, the whole team, have changed my life. I thank the universe for you every day. Thank you, thank you, thank you. One way I've made this process my own is by doing it with my husband. It's been a huge player in deepening our relationship. Sometimes we do workshops or DI's together, sometimes apart. We've learned what we like to talk about and what we like to keep to ourselves. I oftentimes feel like we can even create more magnetism by rooting for one another.
