Achieving Monetary & Financial Milestones After Saying No
Name: Missy Ozeas
What is your cultural upbringing and background?: Chinese-American
Are you currently a Pathway Member?: Yes
What was on your manifestation list?: Manifesting a 10K month in my business as an energy healer so that I could feel "safe" to quit my career in television (knowing full well that "safe" was going to open a whole can of worms for me), a new community of like-minded people, and a specific sky blue sweater!
What workshops did you use and what blocks did you discover during the DIs & workshops?: Unblocked Inner Child, Unblocked Shadow, Unblocked Boundaries, and more Shadow plus a combination of DI's as triggers came up. Whatever I needed that day. I uncovered the biggest block that I have been unconsciously fighting my entire life. I didn't realize how much I hid. In March, I was going through another program called Manifestation Babe Academy which was great, but I found I needed more support as things came up for me, and that's when I found TBM. I went through Unblocked Inner Child and then Unblocked Shadow, and so much came up for me around all the ways I hide myself - I eventually found the foundational limiting thought "What if I'm not worthy of being seen?" which I picked up as a very young child.
It was especially triggering because last year, there was a rise in hate crimes against Asian Americans - I am Chinese American - and the Atlanta shootings were last spring. So all of that coincided with my realization that I hide - so some were from my own childhood, but there was also ancestral hiding to keep safe, small and "just put your head down, work hard, and maybe you won't be singled out." Of course, this belief is of no help for me in growing my business! If I'm not visible, how can I help more people and live my purpose?
How will people find me? So as I worked through Unblocked Shadow, I suddenly had half the clients I usually did in the month of April. It was my magic dark. There were literally crickets, and at first, I got worried. And then I realized it was just as it was supposed to be. I needed to unblock. Plus, I had not quite "quit" my day job in television production. It wasn't so much scarcity of money (which I had already worked on last year) because when I really looked at it, I was scared I wouldn't have a community anymore.
Long story short, I jumped off the cliff and said no to a TV show offer for the next year. And guess what? One month later, I had my biggest month ever - I hit my goal of a 10K month, I finally met in person with a community of healers I had spent countless hours in class with over zoom during the pandemic, and we are all planning a trip to Sedona, and, as a fun side note, the sweater I had been eyeing for so long finally went on sale in the exact color I wanted! And community is so important to me, and I felt part of a team and community in television.
What expanders did you find?: I had to search hard to find any Asian American women healers and then follow them on IG. But I found 4 - and one I called in very rapidly - she popped up on your podcast! Victoria Jane - a Human Design coach. I was calling in expanders, and I literally hit play on an older podcast of yours, and it just happened to be the one featuring her! So that was a fun surprise. And not long after, I heard your interview with Cat Lau, who is also a healer. And then I found two more ourselves. And I followed a number of high profile Asian Americans - actors, activists, photographers, etc.
What tests did you face? Which did you pass? Not pass?: Even though I've been an energy healer for three years, I rarely discussed it with my family because I knew they believed it was pretty "woo woo" and out there. I didn't grow up with energy healing or anything alternative at all. I don't know if this would be called a test, but I felt uncomfortable discussing my practice with my family. But after doing this work for a month, I could clearly see my triggers and my hiding, and I decided to face it by talking to my family about energy healing more openly.
So it felt like a test or hurdle I needed to jump over in order to move forward. I suppose the real test was when I was offered a job on a TV show for next season, and I turned it down. It felt scary, but I knew that working in TV would be out of alignment for me right now. And my brother even sat down to ask me more about it and how it works. So I said no, and soon after, I manifested my big month!
Did you experience a magic dark period? If so, tell us about it.: Yes. Since becoming a healer and working through my certifications, I have been very fortunate to have a steady and growing stream of clients. My work is word of mouth, and I've never had to worry about clients or referrals. Then when I started doing this work - calling in a certain amount of money in a month in my business - I suddenly had half the number of clients that I usually have in the month of April! I wasn't doing anything differently except doing the deep inner work around hiding.
Luckily, you had warned me about a magic dark, and I recognized it for what it was. I also believe it happened perfectly. I had the time, space, and energy to properly integrate this deeper work to prepare me for the next leap in my business and find better ways to support my clients and my community.
How did your manifestation come through?: I really don't know how it happened exactly, but I hit my monthly monetary goal for the first time in June! It was the number I had been calling in. In June, I was actually overbooked and had a waitlist. I didn't do anything differently, but obviously, I had shifted my energy, and internally I was different. No more hiding energy!
How long did it take for your manifestation to come through after crafting your initial list?: 3 months
How frequently were you using the workshops and DI's when you noticed the biggest shift surrounding your manifestation?: daily or at a minimum, every other day
How do you incorporate this work into your life on a daily basis? Any tips, tricks or recommendations for getting the most out of it, or personalizing it?: I used the Unblocked flower remedy 4x a day, and I put an alarm on my phone to remind me to take it. And each time I used it, I would consciously think about what I was unblocking or be present to any triggers coming up at that moment. It was a good way to check in 4x a day. And I kept a journal. Each day, before my DI, I would think about any triggers that had come up for me the day before, and I would take one through the DI. I got into the habit of really watching my own triggers and examining them. I'm also an energy healer, so I would work on clearing myself in addition to the DIs.
