A Teaching Position That Lights Me Up

What was on your manifestation list?: An art teaching position at a local tertiary education provider.
What workshops did you use and what blocks did you discover during the DIs & workshops?: How to manifest. The mini expanse workshop. Get clarity exercise. Trigger DI. Authentic self DI. Reinforcing authentic self DI. Magnetic self DI. Prosperity DI.
What expanders did you find?: I found an expander in a woman I used to do tattooing with. She has her master's in visual arts and teaches art at a secondary school. Another expander I found was in my yoga mentor, who has extremely high self-worth, which I need to integrate to pass the tests I did.
What tests did you face? Which did you pass? Not pass?: I had multiple job offers last year in the art industry. One was in sales, which I knew I did not want. Then I was offered a volunteer position at a gallery. I said no to that too. At this time, I was also working at a secondary school teaching hairdressing. This school then offered me a position for the following year (being 2022). They offered me six classes a week, which would be financially viable. So I said yes, not realizing this was a test, not a bridge job. Towards the end of the year, they didn't honor a contract and paid me well underneath what was agreed to (and signed). And they cut the classes I would teach in half, which would mean I would only earn $300 (aus $) a week. Not at all financially viable. So I resigned. At this stage, all my art commissions had dried up too.
Did you experience a magic dark period? If so, tell us about it.: After I resigned and had no art commissions, I essentially had no income. Over the Xmas / January period. It was pretty scary and nerve-wracking. I have a mortgage and two kids, and having no income was very new to me. I did my best to promote my art to call in commissions, but nothing was coming through. This went on for about 4-6 weeks.
How did your manifestation come through?: My manifestation came through when I got a ping to call Wodonga TAFE to see if they had any positions coming up in either the art teaching sector or barbering sector.
The lady I spoke to knew me, knew I was after this position, and gave me the position over the phone. The art teaching position I had been calling in for so long. I'm so f**king was excited!!!! If I could burst, I would!!
How long did it take for your manifestation to come through after crafting your initial list?: I crafted my list when I got my journal right after it was released. The first date marked was 1/12/2021.
How frequently were you using the workshops and DI's when you noticed the biggest shift surrounding your manifestation?: I was doing the workshops at a slow pace but doing a DI almost every night, even doing the same ones a couple of times to truly unblock and integrate.
How do you incorporate this work into your life on a daily basis? Any tips, tricks or recommendations for getting the most out of it, or personalizing it?: I listen to the podcast every single day. Sometimes twice a day. I put a podcast on when I'm in my studio creating and then when I go to sleep. At night before I put a podcast on, I will do a DI and journal before I pop the podcast on to go to sleep.

Is there anything else you think we should know? If you made this process your own in any way, this is the perfect spot to share that.: Yes. I would like people to know that there are other ways to forge a career in the creative industry. I'm not a person who values being busy (hustle culture). I'm a professional rester! I believe adequate rest is the key to vitality, and I needed to work towards the art career that was in line with my authentic code (creativity, connection, nurture and ease) despite it feeling like it was going in the opposite direction to a lot of artists I was watching. I feel like there is one specific business model that artists are chasing, which if that's what they want, that's great for them. But for others who it doesn't quite fit (those who don't want to rely on an art business for income, need balance for work life/motherhood), there are other options. I really have so much to share about how this work has helped me step into my self-worth and true authentic self. I am so grateful that I came across To Be Magnetic. I first came across Lacy's work when listening to her on Luke Storey's podcast all those years ago!
