Investing In Myself While Building My Business
Name: Anneka Reece
Where do you reside?: United Kingdom
What is your cultural upbringing and background?: British
Are you currently a Pathway Member?: Yes
What was on your manifestation list?: - to change my relationship with alcohol
- to find a relationship
- to feel happier about work
- to welcome in more abundance
What workshops did you use and what blocks did you discover during the DIs & workshops?: I have done most of the workshops on the pathway, as well as having Amanda Blair as my coach. During this process, so much came up for me around things that I had been repressing and settling for in my life; I could no longer ignore them and carry on in the way that I had been. It soon became clear to me that I was in the wrong job and that my life in Dubai just didn't align with my values anymore. One of the biggest blocks that I discovered was alcohol! I realized that alcohol has always been a huge manifestation block in my life and when comparing my life when I had been drinking alcohol with periods of sobriety, I realized that I am so much more powerful at manifesting when I am sober. This has led me to jump off so many cliffs: I quit my job, moved back to the UK, started my own podcast and career as a Sober Coach to support others with letting go of alcohol and raising their vibrations.
If you did work with a coach or a few, who did you work with, in what capacity (Q/A service or Session(s)) and how did that contribute to your manifestation process?: I have worked with Amanda Blair, who was amazing! I also once submitted a question that was answered by Atarah, and his answer was so supportive and incredibly helpful.
What expanders did you find?: I have manifested so many expanders since starting this process: one of whom is now one of my best friends: a fellow coach in the UK. I have seemingly accidentally attracted so many inspiring sober people into my life, as well as working with Janey Lee Grace, a Radio 2 presenter and Sober Coach in the UK.
What tests did you face? Which did you pass? Not pass?: My biggest test since returning to the UK was taking a maternity cover teaching position. As this was only full-time for a month and part-time after Christmas, I thought that this would be a great bridge job. However, I soon realized that it was a test- when I started working there, I just felt so low and like: I did not move back to the UK to feel like this every day. I realized that it was sapping my energy and taking me away from what I really wanted to do, so two weeks in, I handed in my notice, and very soon after I finished, clients started approaching me.
I feel like mini-tests come along all the time, and this is all a part of my journey as a new business owner, and I need to see them as opportunities to grow and expand.
Did you experience a magic dark period? If so, tell us about it.: Yes, I feel like I have only just come out of my magic dark period. When I first came back to the UK, I was like a rabbit in the headlights and was managing feelings of anxiety and just adjusting to this huge change. It wasn't until I passed the test of quitting the teaching job that I felt that I started to come out of this magic dark, and I know that things are still opening up for me more and more.
How did your manifestation come through?: I am still on my path in that, I know my business will grow and grow, but my manifestation firstly came through in that I gained that clarity that I in fact, wanted to do this at all. I now realize that this is absolutely what I am meant to do. I feel so connected to the people that I help, and I feel like my work is play. My business is my manifestation that is growing. My relationship has not come through yet, but I know that I need to continue unblocking in this area. I am starting to get tests to come through here, which is a good sign I know!
My call to finally stop alcohol came to me when I was reading Shaman Durek's book 'Spirit Hacking,' and I read his chapter about alcohol. Suddenly, all of my previous experiences with alcohol, sobriety, and manifesting came together. I realized what I had denied to myself for so long: that alcohol is a manifestation block and that I would never drink again. I am now 14 months sober.
How long did it take for your manifestation to come through after crafting your initial list?: 1 year
How frequently were you using the workshops and DI's when you noticed the biggest shift surrounding your manifestation?: daily
How do you incorporate this work into your life on a daily basis? Any tips, tricks or recommendations for getting the most out of it, or personalizing it?: Sometimes, I find just journalling first thing in the morning can really bring up all sorts of interesting things from my subconscious.

Is there anything else you think we should know? If you made this process your own in any way, this is the perfect spot to share that.: My main focus is just the revelation of how powerful it can be to let go of numbing behaviors- they stop you from healing triggers and up leveling. I kept myself in a rut for nine years with this behavior, and I am so happy that I have broken out of it!
