Growing My Business, Welcoming Creativity, & Removing Old Blocks

Name: Emery Allen

Where do you reside?: Cleveland, Ohio

What is your cultural upbringing and background?: I grew up without any religious background but found myself becoming very spiritual and diving into Buddhism when I was 17. My dad practices Buddhism in most aspects of his life, and my mom isn't religious but has very similar qualities.

Are you currently a Pathway Member?: Yes

What was on your manifestation list?: I called in: month-to-month apartment growth in my floristry business that I started in August: booking at least 15 weddings in 2022, booking $5,000 events covering rent in one event a month, making $10,000 before the end of summer a cooler (a $1,500 cooler was gifted to me)

What workshops did you use and what blocks did you discover during the DIs & workshops?: Unblocked Inner Child, Unblocked Shadow, currently doing the unblocking challenge. Working through Unblocked Money and Unblocked Love. I have a lot of blocks around my anxiety and depression that started when I was a child, so doing inner child and shadow work really opened my eyes to the root of so many things. I struggle with codependency, anxious attachment, and feeling unworthy of love/being fully accepted and in turn, undeserving of things that I want. As I've been working through those blocks and discovering my worth, my businesses have been growing. I am manifesting small things quickly and have manifested a lot of big things in regard to my business.

One pillar of my authentic code is creativity, and I used to write poetry in my early twenties (I am now 29). That fell away due to a lot of blocks that I'm now becoming aware of, but I do believe I fully manifested my writing career at that age. I felt like it just fell into my lap. I made a living off of writing poetry and had a lot of celebrities sharing my writing on their Instagrams, and then one day, I woke up, and my Instagram was literally gone, which seems like a blessing now as I've learned so much about my own blocks and realizing how I was blocking myself by not seeing and honoring my own worth. Just a couple of months after I started doing the work, I started my own floristry business as a way to let my creativity come out, and it has really been taking off. Since unblocking a lot of my worth around creativity, I then had a senior editor at Yoga Journal reach out to me, asking for me to write for them. I absolutely manifested that by doing the work.

What expanders did you find?: I have expanders in my life that are also artists who fully support themselves, and I didn't know them before I started doing the work. I also have found a few exponents of healthy relationships with people who deal with anxiety and depression.

What tests did you face? Which did you pass? Not pass?: I'm still facing tests within my current relationship but have passed a lot of tests with boundaries and honoring myself. I've also been facing tests in my search for a house to buy. But even as I put in an offer, I almost know that it is a test, and the more often it happens, the less attached I feel to the home. I used to be so attached to any house I'd see, and now I just believe that the right house will come to me in its own time. I am perfectly fine where I am, and everything is working out slowly. I can feel it all unfolding, my creative career laying out the path.

How frequently were you using the workshops and DI's when you noticed the biggest shift surrounding your manifestation?: I use the workshops weekly, and when things come through, I'm doing the DI's every other day.

How do you incorporate this work into your life on a daily basis? Any tips, tricks or recommendations for getting the most out of it, or personalizing it?: I will listen to the DI's with the lights off in my room and get deep into it, but I often also listen to them while I'm on a walk. I heard of (I think Heather?) a coach doing this and thought I'd give it a try, and it really helps. I feel like being in motion allows my mind to take everything in. I walk until the DI is close to being done, then I journal afterward. I try to journal at least every other day, and that part really allows me to go deep into everything that is uncovered in the DI. Reflecting on the lists has also allowed me to see what is actually important and what desires I can let go of. I just wrote a new manifestation list for the first time since starting the work, and it was great to see how much I actually manifested, mini and major.
